Friend of Stan Ray, Jamie Ferguson aka @jkf_man styles items from our current collection alongside some of his wardrobe staples.

"For those not familiar, Stan Ray is an American brand, founded in Texas, that has been making garments since 1972 and one that I have long been a fan of.
Their relaxed take on workwear and skate staples I find particularly useful for incorporating with most of my tailoring. I’ve been styling out their Painter Pants and Miki Shorts for sometime and each season I re-stock or grab new items from their growing collection.

The main reason I find their trousers, especially the OG Painter Pants, so useful with tailoring is, say it with me now, A NICE HIGH RISE.  I want that higher rise paired with a looser leg through the thigh as well as a relatively wider hem; no more 6in openings for me! I’d only ever really tried the Painter Pants so I hit them up to try some of their alternative, wider trousers, specifically their A Pant and Wide 5 Denim, alongside a few of the funkier garms that caught my eye from their current collection and I styled them alongside some of my wardrobe staples."

"First up we’ve got the A Pant. I love these. Possibly the widest cut of trousers I now own but I’m embracing the loosey-goosey these days."

"Up top I’ve thrown on one of their chore coats, which Stan Ray refers to as their Coverall Jacket, this one in a light blue denim from the current season."

"This is my ‘I own a night club in St. Tropez called Moist Lotion’ vibe. Down below I’ve got the A Pant but up top I’ve gone for the Bowling Shirt and tucked it. The collar on this shirt is BIG which I really dig."

"You of course don’t have to go white on white with the shirt as I have and the boxiness means it looks equally good untucked. It’s made up in this super crispy cotton which feels oddly cool, literally. I can’t explain why"

"These beasts are the Wide 5 jeans. Again, nice high rise, roughly equivalent to the Levi’s 568’s I bang on about all the time, so super excited to have an alternative to those, especially considering the different washes and colours that Stan Ray does. Loose fit but not as loose as the A Pant. Let your legs breathe fellas."

"Using the Tour Shirt as the base I went full sleaze on everything else; cowboy boots, trucker hat, aviators, shirt undone questionably low."

What can I say? I’m a sucker for leopard print. With the pattern being extremely camouflage-esque as well as being named so, I decided to treat it as such and pair it with my P-13’s and a sawtooth western. I think because it’s an animal print it helps this not look too G.I. Joe which, if it was a traditional camo, might be the case.

"This washed western is one of my favourite pieces from the new collection. A lot of the western shirts I own are quite trim, often with pearl snap buttoning and as the belly expands more and more due to over indulgence and laziness (it shall be rectified dammit!) the likelihood of an inadvertent ‘pop off’ grows ever stronger."

Thanks Jamie!
