Originally hailing from Jakarta where his initial musical curiosity led him to DJ for a local breakdance crew and eventually to host his own warehouse parties for 3000-plus people, Dea Barandana has emerged as one of the most distinctive mixers on the international circuit. A passionate digger, Dea Barandana now calls the Indonesian island of Bali home, where he can be found at Potato Head Beach Club and Studio Eksotika (the island’s only audiophile space) where the seasoned mixer regularly showcases the best bits of obscure, psych-tinged dance floor cuts and forgotten Euro and Asian b-sides buried deep in his ever-growing crates.
