''I grew up with my parents listening to soul, funk, jazz, blues, disco and Hip-Hop on loop, everyday! As I got older I wanted to do the same thing I’d heard through my dad’s speakers, I wanted to make my own music. That’s when I started to learn how to use a DAW and how to record myself with the help of my older brothers. I started to learn how to play the guitar and the piano but I mostly learned how to sample records. Many songs and a few years after, I started DJing. I thought it could be my way to get in front of people in a live setting. I would say my biggest inspiration stays in Hip-Hop, but once I discovered House, it was really an enlightenment, it was everything I’d listened to for years... a true mix of soul, funk, disco, and hip-hop.
This mix is a selection of songs I’ve been listening to for years plus fresh ones I've just discovered, but it could really just be the songs you could hear at my parents’s place back in the days on a sunday afternoon!
